HTC 7 Pro Review - PC Mag

PC Magazine have published a review of the HTC 7 Pro (U.S. Cellular) Windows handset. 'The HTC 7 Pro measures 4.6 by 2.3 by 0.6 inches (HWD) and weighs a substantial 6.5 ounces. It's made of a complex mix of matte plastic, glass, soft touch rubber, and aluminum surfaces; the effect is bulky, but handsome. The front panel slides back and tilts up at a 45-degree angle, which is great for watching movies or using the phone as a very tiny laptop computer. The 3.6-inch capacitive touch screen is on the small side for such a bulky phone, but its 480-by-800-pixel resolution looks sharp. The display lacks the vibrancy of HTC and Samsung's newer panels, though. The slide-out, five-row QWERTY keyboard is an absolute gem. It features large rectangular keys that are well-raised and separated. They exhibit just the right texture and resistance for fast, near-silent typing.'

LG Apex Review - CNET

LG-Apex-CNET.jpg

CNET have published a review of the LG Apex (U.S. Cellular) smartphone. 'Compared to other QWERTY sliders, such as the T-Mobile G2 and Samsung Epic 4G, the LG Apex is rather compact at 4.57 inches high by 2.22 inches wide by 0.62 inch thick and weighs 5.39 ounces. The handset isn't as wide as the others, so it feels more comfortable to hold. It's certainly not the thinnest of phones, but we found that it could fit into a pants pocket without problem. The Apex also has a solid construction, with a nice soft-touch finish on back. Now, the one trade-off of the more trim design is a smaller display. The Apex has a 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen, whereas the G2 and Epic 4G have 3.7-inch and 4-inch displays, respectively. However, with an 800x480-pixel resolution and support for 242,000 colors, we found the Apex's screen to crisp and bright so we didn't find the smaller size to be a huge issue. There's also pinch-to-zoom support and a built-in accelerometer.'

HTC Desire Review - Laptop Mag

HTC-Desire-Laptop-Mag.jpg

Laptop Magazine have published a review of the HTC Desire (U.S. Cellular) Android handset. 'The Desire looks like the offspring of a Nexus One and a HTC Droid Eris. Like the Nexus One, it has a 3.7-inch screen, rounded edges, and a bronze tint. It's even the same size, at 4.7 x 2.4 x 0.5 inches. The Desire weighs fractions of an ounce more, tipping the scale at 4.8 ounces compared to the Nexus One's 4.6-ounce weight. The phone is covered in a soft-touch black rubberized plastic, which made it very comfortable to hold. Above the display, the Desire's speaker is made of two silver-edged ovals instead of the Nexus One's single speaker piece. Below, the physical buttons are brushed silver; you'll find an optical trackpad in between the Home and Menu buttons to the left and one oval button on the right, which gently rocks between the Back and Search buttons.'
