Apple-iPhone-4-CNET.jpg

CNET have published a review of the Apple iPhone 4 - 16GB - black (Verizon Wireless) handset. 'Honestly, we can't say much in this section since the Verizon and AT&T handsets are so much alike. There are a couple cosmetic differences, which we'll discuss, but Verizon's iPhone bears all the familiar Apple-style trademarks. It's the same size and weight (4.5 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.37 inch deep; 4.8 ounces), it has nearly identical external features, and you'll find that gorgeous Retina Display. We're still not fans of the sharp edges and glass back, but there's no denying that the iPhone 4 remains an eye-catching device.'

Apple iPhone 4 Review - The Gadgeteer

Apple-iPhone-4-The-Gadgeteer.jpg

The Gadgeteer have published a review of the new Apple iPhone 4. 'On the left side of the phone, you'll find the mute switch and volume buttons. I like the individual volume buttons and find them easier to operate than the rocker switch that the previous iPhone versions used. The buttons are raised and have good tactile feedback, making them very easy to find and press with your thumb while in a call. The right side is the new location for the SIM card slot. Good old Apple decided to go with a micro SIM card, which means that you'll (I'll) need an adapter if I wish to use the same SIM in a different GSM phone. Grrrrr. I still haven't ordered an adapter.'

Apple-iPhone-4-PC-Advisor.jpg

PC Advisor have published a review of the new Apple iPhone 4 smartphone. 'The Apple iPhone 4, as the name suggests, is the fourth generation of Apple's game-changing smartphone. It's already garnered far more publicity than the previous three models - if not entirely for the right reasons. Few could have escaped mass-media news coverage of reception issues highlighted by Apple's unusual choice of design, which sees the iPhone 4's aerials fixed around the outside of the handset. But before we examine the minutiae of antennae, let's look at the technology changes found in the iPhone 4, and how it compares to its own predecessors.'

Apple iPhone 4 Review - Tracy and Matt

Apple-iPhone-4-Tracy-and-Matt.jpg

Tracy and Matt have published their review of the new Apple iPhone 4. 'The new Apple iPhone 4 is without doubt the one phone that has had the most attention this year. With a new design and improved specification the iPhone 4 is more than worthy of sitting in top place in the smart phone wars but how does it truly compare in my opinion with the many top of the range Android devices that are constantly hitting the market? With some data issues from day one Apple have made various excuses and seem to be happy with the consumer spending extra money on a bumper to solve the problem.'

Apple iPhone 4 Review - 3G.co.uk

Apple-iPhone-4-3G-co-uk.jpg

A review of the new Apple iPhone 4 has been posted over at 3G.co.uk. 'The major change with the iPhone 4 is its design - industrial, with square edges rather than curves, clad in matt silver - it's the slimmest iPhone yet. Tempered glass covers the 3.5in screen, as well as the back. The glass is scratch-resistant, but certainly not smudge-proof. The classic home button sits beneath the display, with the familiar volume rocker usurped by round, small '+' and '-' buttons. The SIM slot is home to the MicroSIM and sits on the right. The usual dock connector can be found at the bottom of the handset where you'll also find two decent small speaker vents. The 3.5mm audio jack also stays in its usual place at the top of the device. While the handset is slimmer than the iPhone 3GS at 9.3mm, it is, in fact, 2g heavier.'

Apple-iPhone-4-HotHardware.jpg

HotHardware have published their review of the new Apple iPhone 4. 'The iPhone 4 has become the first iPhone with a Apple's A4 CPU, FaceTime video chat, a new antenna setup (for better, or worse), and a new display that doubles the screen resolution compared to the iPhone 3GS. It's also going to be available in both black and white colors, and it will offer 720p movie recording as well. In fact, Apple is creating a $4.99 iMovie app specifically for the iPhone 4's video capture mode, enabling users to edit and upload videos right from their handset. Apple also improved the internal sensor array in order to give gamers more control over their titles, and considering that the iPhone and iPod touch have become serious contenders in the portable gaming space, this addition could help the platform even further.'

Apple-iPhone-4-CNET.jpg

CNET have published their review of the Apple iPhone (AT&T). 'Though the iPhone 3G and the 3GS models simply tweaked the original handset's design, iPhone 4 marks a sharp departure from those previous models. Admittedly, we never had a problem with the look of the previous handsets, but we approve of the iPhone 4's changes. The front and back sides are glass, both surfaces are flat, and a stainless steel border circles the entire phone. Though it's a tad boxy, it also has a clean, svelte, and unmistakably Apple look. What's more, we love that the flat back means that the phone no longer wobbles when resting on a table. You can get the iPhone 4 in both black and white, but here again we prefer the former.'

Apple-iPhone-4-WSJ-com.jpg

The Wall Street Journal have published a review of the new Apple iPhone 4. 'While attractive, capable new smartphones emerge regularly from competitors, a new iPhone deserves special attention for two reasons. First, the device lies at the center of a huge ecosystem of 225,000 apps, plus popular related gadgets like Apple's iPod Touch connected media player and iPad tablet, which collectively are approaching 100 million units sold. Second, the iPhone's multitouch, gesture-based interface; elegant Web browser; sophisticated music and video playback; and other features have been emulated on many competing devices, so what Apple does affects the whole industry.'

Apple iPhone 4 Review - Tech Radar

Apple-iPhone-4-Tech-Radar.jpg

Tech Radar have published a "Hands on" review of the Apple iPhone 4. 'It's 4.8 ounces, just 0.1 ounces heavier than the iPhone 3GS, an imperceptible difference. The SIM card slot has moved from the top to the side, and sadly it's now a micro SIM slot - meaning changing networks when you finish your contract will be trickier. The camera on the back is paired with a bright LED flash that you can have on or off. The volume rocker switch has been replaced by round metal volume-up and -down buttons, but the Hold and Silence switches are pretty much the same.'

iPhone-4-CNET.jpg

CNET have published their "First take" review of the new iPhone 4. 'The new iPhone's design is a sharp departure from the previous iPhone models. The front and back sides are glass, both surfaces are flat, and a stainless steel border circles the entire phone. Indeed, it looks very much like the photos that appeared on Gizmodo after an Apple engineer allegedly lost it in a Redwood City, Calif., bar back in April. Other new design elements include the aforementioned front-facing camera, split volume controls, two noise-cancellation microphones, and a new LED flash with the main camera lens. The iPhone 4 also switches to a Micro-SIM format, just like the iPad.'
