Review: E-TEN Glofiish X500+ - Mobile Tech Review

E-TEN-Glofiish-X500%2B.jpg

A review of the E-TEN Glofiish X500+ pocket PC phone has been posted over at Mobile Tech Review. 'The X500+ has a black soft touch skin that's popular these days. It's the same kind of finish used on the T-Mobile Dash, Samsung BlackJack and T-Mobile Wing. It feels nice, keeps the device safely in hand and improves the device's look. This Glofiish is otherwise an un-sexy rectangular slab with rounded corners. Buy the X500+ for its extremely functionality and not for its looks.

E-ten Glofiish X800 Review - Trusted Reviews

E-ten-Glofiish-X800.jpg

Trusted Reviews have published a review of the E-ten Glofiish X800 PDA phone. 'There's no hardware number pad, as with the Asus, nor is there any scroll wheel for nipping up and down lists of emails and contacts, but the controls have been thoughtfully laid out nonetheless. As with most other Windows Mobile smartphones, most of these are clustered below the 2.8in, 640 x 480 resolution screen which, by the way, is among the brightest, most vibrant I've ever seen on any phone. Flanking a clickable, four-way mini-joystick are two soft keys, pick-up and hang-up keys for the phone, plus a couple of shortcut keys which have been allocated initially to the GPS Viewer utility and Glofiish's own quick launch panel. That's not all, though - there are a couple of extras that are certainly worth having, in the shape of a Windows start menu button and an OK button, which can be used to close windows and dialogue boxes without having to resort to using the stylus.'

E-TEN Glofiish X800 Review - MobileTechReview

E-TEN-Glofiish-X800-Review.jpg

MobileTechReview have published their review of the E-TEN Glofiish X800 Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone. 'E-TEN Windows Mobile phones haven't looked like expensive pieces. Their looks have improved over the years from the plasticy M500 of 2005 (E-TEN's first really decent PDA phone) to the X800 today. The X800 is the replacement for the Glofiish X500+ and the X800 certainly looks worlds better. The X800 has a unique look, different from other brands and other Glofiish phones and build quality is good. Actually other recent E-TEN models we've reviewed had good built quality even though E-TEN hadn't mastered the chic look that makes a device look expensive. The X800's design is clever: it looks slimmer and smaller than it really is, and it strikes one as smaller than the buxom Tilt/TyTN II though it's actually a tad taller and just as wide (albeit thinner). Nice trompe l'oeil.

E-TEN - Glofiish X600 Review - IT Reviews

E-TEN-Glofiish-X600.jpg

IT Reviews have published a review of the E-TEN - Glofiish X600 Windows Mobile 6 Professional device. 'The Glofiish X600 isn't quite at the top of the tree as far as communications is concerned. It has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GSM but not 3G built in. However, there is a GPS antenna crammed into its tiny 107mm x 58mm x 14.7mm frame, and at 136g in weight you get quite a lot of bang for your gram. The small size of the X600 means the screen is just 2.8 inches corner to corner, and its 320 x 240 pixels can sometimes seem a little cramped, but no more so than other small format Windows Mobile devices. Shortcut buttons on the front of the device help you get around, as does the touch-screen and a side-mounted button for the built-in 2-megapixel camera. The lens is accompanied by a flash and a tiny self portrait mirror.'

E-TEN - Glofiish M800 Review - IT Reviews

E-TEN-Glofiish-M800-Reviewed.jpg

IT Reviews have published a review of the E-TEN - Glofiish M800 PDA phone. 'E-TEN is a prolific producer of Windows Mobile handhelds, and more often than not extra features like GPS and FM radio receivers are included as standard. That is the case with the M800, the company's current flagship model, which seems to cram in just about every feature any PDA has ever had. As well as the GPS antenna, there is an application for making use of it which an send your current location identified in latitude and longitude as part of an SMS message. 3G with HSDPA support is included, and there is a front-facing camera for video calling as well as a back-mounted camera for shooting stills at resolutions up to 2 megapxiels.'

E-TEN - Glofiish M810 - IT Reviews

E-TEN-Glofiish-M810.jpg

IT Reviews have published a review of the Glofiish E-TEN Glofiish M810 pocket PC phone. 'Physically the Glofiish M810 looks distinctive. Its rounded corners and almost enamelled sheen are attractive. Its 2.8-inch screen occupies most of the front fascia with only two softkey buttons, Call and End keys and a D-Pad sitting below it. The sliding keyboard pops out of the left long edge. It makes the device a little large and heavy at 179g, 109.5mm tall, 59mm wide and 17.5mm thick, but the keyboard should allow you to work on mobile e-mail and type out text at speed.'

Eten Glofiish V900 - Tracy and Matt's Blog

Eten-Glofiish-V900.jpg

A review of the Eten Glofiish V900 Windows Mobile smartphone has been posted over at Tracy and Matt's Blog. 'The Eten Glofiish V900 didn't really follow in the same design the other Glofiish handsets out there (not that there is a specific Glofiish design). Weighing in at 147g it's not quite the lightest handset out there but saying that it really isn't heavy either. The front end of the phone boasts a large 2.8" 480 x 640 touch screen. Sitting at the top of the screen there is a front facing VGA camera for 3G Video calls and an earpiece grill which houses two system indicator lights. The left hand side of the phone has just 2 buttons and the DVB antenna which looks like a stylus when tucked away. The button at the top is the rocker volume switch which I have to admit would have been better on the right hand side for comfort. The second button is defaulted as Voice Command but can be customised.'
